A two hour class for beginner and intermediate amateur photographers.

So you got this beautiful new camera and you know how to turn it on. Now what?

Advance beyond using the automatic settings on your digital SLR camera to learn why and when to use the variations of aperture, shutter speed and lighting.

We will teach you how to get a great deal more out of your camera than you get now. Topics will include:

  • Depth of Field -- Why you need to know about controlling aperture
  • Understanding when to leave your automatic settings
  • Basic composition
  • Learning to use your camera to make the photos you want to make

This course will be held at Will’s Studio at the Hoxie.

About Your Instructor: Will Fields is a commercial photographer in Grand Rapids who was based in Chicago for most of his 30 year career. A partial list of his clients include Sears (Catalog and Corporate), Cadillac, Hayworth, G.E, Motorola, Allstate, Anheuser Busch, Coldwell Banker and many others. He is known for the vivid sensuality of color within his style and has been published in numerous publications. His use of wit, humor and incorporation of the platonic question make him a natural, effective and popular teacher.
