For teens and tweens 12 years and up |
With the explosion of digital photography today’s kids take more photos in a year than most of their parents do in 10 years. This class teaches them to get more out of their cameras and how to better communicate what they want to show.
Whether your teen/tween has worn out their cell phone taking pics, uses a point and shoot or a full on DSLR. This class will help them take better pictures and have more fun doing it.
The two hour class meets at Meijer Gardens (entry fee not included) and covers:
- Basic camera functions and getting to know your camera.
- Basic composition rules and techniques.
- When to use your flash/when not to.
- How to pre-plan your photos for special techniques or ideas.
- How to work with people to capture the images you want to keep.
Class size is limited to 8 people per session so there’s plenty of time for questions and dealing with individual ideas and issues. |

 About Your Instructor: Will Fields is a commercial photographer in Grand Rapids who was based in Chicago for most of his 30 year career. A partial list of his clients include Sears (Catalog and Corporate), Cadillac, Hayworth, G.E, Motorola, Allstate, Anheuser Busch, Coldwell Banker and many others. He is known for the vivid sensuality of color within his style and has been published in numerous publications. His use of wit, humor and incorporation of the platonic question make him a natural, effective and popular teacher.
